Profession - in the last few decades

Do you agree profession holds the major percent of our life? Do you feel money as 'the' thing we run behind in our life? Does money hold the highest stake in the list of items we seek in our life? Do you think that our job consumes more than half our time everday? Most of us would feel, Yes ! And the very object that we are behind is, Money !! That is the thing that drives us, keeps us moving forward. Everybody has a goal and that goal is to be better and to reach a specific destination. That destination is factored by our profession and value sought/received from that job.

Farming -  There was a time in India when farming was the best way to make money. Farmers used to do loads of work per day under the sun and cultivate crops so as to yield to the society and make money out of it. We used to get good rains and the supply-demand chain was balanced. Farmers and Land owners were respected and even worshipped those days. Everyone felt pride in owning a piece of land for cultivation. The economy moved forward and was primarily due to the aggricultural sector which had an untrend in the earlier part of the last decade.

Government Jobs - Then came the days when people started to experience jobs in the Central/State Governments. Working 9-5 became habitual and everyone respected people working in the Govt sector. Those were the folks who were largely talented. Especially in the research and technology sectors, where the best talent made it to the Govt jobs. They were considered to be having the best knowledge of the world and the neighborhood looked them with awe. 

Banking - Ever since GLobalization came in place, this industry flourished. To an extent, this has been the boom of the last few decades and is still growing in the developing nations. A bank officer was and is highly respected even today. Although the working demands are too high and pressure exists @ job, still they were seen as a big force in taking the economy forward.

IT - The biggest boom of the century. Sadly, there is not much respect for these folks but yet they are the most preferred since their earnings are high. They are often seen as the factor for the real estate boom. Their expenditure is one of the greatest reasons for global market expansion and their vitality is evident by creating a view of our country globally.

Insurance - The most important sector which is necessary for each and every person/family. This was the booming sector perhaps of the last decade and has already started reaching a steady state. Most of the people nowadays are aware of its necessity. 

Healthcare - Perhaps the last and latest sector to see an uptrend in its growth is this sector where the saddest thing is to see privitization. Cost of the healthcare is too high these days for a common man. Perhaps the worst thing to feel is that in the name of "organization", healthcare has become costly. Doctors and hospitals are well paid but often unable to solve the patient's issues. It is like IT outsourcing where an unfriendly approach is followed and often not being in the favour of the patient involved. 

There could be other sectors coming and people will gear up to the standards of meeting them. It evolves with time and we have to align our skills in accordance to that. However life still goes with the job we do and money we make.
