Gujarat Results and its Impact

The entire nation is glued now to know the polls result of Gujarat. The entire nation nation had dismissed Manmohan Singh's poor governance, corruption and policy inefficiencies by bringing a strong leader in Modi. We all had high hopes on Modi. Although he has been taking lots of good measures in improving the infrastructure, they are still in the initial stages and would require at least 5 years to see good results out of it. Certain policy changes like Demonetization, Aadhar link and GST implementation has hit the common man hard while the reforms like these are attributed towards building an organized nation.

The problem is that the common man and small, medium businesses are most affected by these implementations. The Govt could have taken soft and slow steps in implementing it but the rush, velocity and aggressiveness has been felt and taken hard by the common man. We still are to see more advancements in medical, science, health and space technologies. Defense is one sector where we have to grow more with the equipment at our disposal are not aligned with the current trend and enrichment that our neighbors have achieved.

The Govt at least could have made good progress in science and technology which was highly anticipated by the people but it is yet to happen. Infrastructure sector has just started to gain momentum. The issue is that the expectations of the common man from Modi on governance and well being was intended towards immediate results as the nation was faring poor for over 10 years in the UPA regime. Unfortunately those expectations are not yet met by the Govt and moreover added fuel to the fire with GST implementation.

These are the above factors that will be weighed in tomorrow's results. The way that this strong Govt has fared so far will be considered and the results will reflect that. The Congress is set to win more seats than before in the last 15 years due to the hatred of the common man. The competition will be narrow and BJP might just have an advantage. But it is without doubt that the Govt must reconsider its policies if it has any plans to secure the Govt in the next Lok Sabha elections.
