No one likes a Blogger

I have been a writer since my school days. I was highly interested into writing though I wasn't an avid reader. I used to write plays and stories a lot in school. But the writer in me was awakened after I joined my first company, Cognizant. That offered me a platform to showcase my skills in writing. I was able to invite lots of readers through my variety of posts varying from fiction to poetry. Although initially i was highly inclined towards poetry - writing 10 minute poems, I was equally obsessed with writing stories resembling movies. I was good and well received with my variety and velocity of posts per week. I equaly enjoyed commenting on others' creations. Thus I became a blogger. However my project team and people @ my workplace with whom I interact on daily basis had other ideas. They felt blogging as waste of time and those who write aren't technically talented. They used to silently go through the posts and judge the writer based on his writings. Although m...

Science - And its evolution

Mankind has evolved a lot since its inception and most of it is attributed towards the development in Science. Especially since the last 2 centuries science has grown leaps and bounds. Almost all sectors including business, medicine, technology, space, biology, mechanics has seen a rapid growth. It is truly massive to think how these got evolved in a short span of time. Thanks must go to all the scientists and inventors out there who did all R&D for us, for the better life of humanity. We have tried to map all the occurrences in the world, every creation with respect to science. We have started to relate all the events that happen with science. We have started to believe that everything has a cause-effect principle. To a certain extent, we have outgrown and even started to predict the future. Predicting the future was more inclined towards the job of the astrologers who were religious minded, but these days we have automated them as well into scientific aspects. We have b...

Financial Status - The way it is

We were anxious and were expecting a lot when the Assembly elections came 2 years back. Being a Pro-BJP guy, I was expecting a huge turnaround with respect to the financial status of the country. We wanted a change and believed in Mr. Modi. Has he turned up to our expectations and satisfied atleast half of our demands is a question of this time. With third year, currently running has he lived up to the promises offered? Everyone knows he's been working hard and traveling a lot to get foreign investments into India, but has we actually got some of them yet into us? Or how much time it still needs to get them invested into our country. Although the Indian markets are on a record high with most of the stocks peaking, the basic financial elements of the country has shaken a lot. We expected things to be better after we elected a stable Govt., but have we really tasted something good? The manufacturing sector hasn't improved. Agriculture sector is down with many farmers ...

Profession - in the last few decades

Do you agree profession holds the major percent of our life? Do you feel money as 'the' thing we run behind in our life? Does money hold the highest stake in the list of items we seek in our life? Do you think that our job consumes more than half our time everday? Most of us would feel, Yes ! And the very object that we are behind is, Money !! That is the thing that drives us, keeps us moving forward. Everybody has a goal and that goal is to be better and to reach a specific destination. That destination is factored by our profession and value sought/received from that job. Farming -  There was a time in India when farming was the best way to make money. Farmers used to do loads of work per day under the sun and cultivate crops so as to yield to the society and make money out of it. We used to get good rains and the supply-demand chain was balanced. Farmers and Land owners were respected and even worshipped those days. Everyone felt pride in owning a piece of land for cul...

Being Indian

I have been in the insurance sector for over 2 decades. This is a sector where service matters the most more than making money. This is an area where the customers are made to come back to us through our motive of having a service oriented mentality. Being an Indian favours that. the very attitude of Being Indian let us welcome the customers openly and listen to their feedback with great care. wishing them for a good life, a life filled with fun. Planning a good life is crucial. Eliminating ambiguity plays a vital role in shaping our life. Our customers are aligned to a good life through proper planning. We offer services in such a way that we always think about our customers' lives. We wish them to make it better. Being an Indian, let us to put ourselves in their shoes and perform our duties. we analyze their needs and plan for their lives. Not just their lives, but their family as well. Thinking in Indian ways, provides more value to families. We think of their families...

A dream come true

For over 10 years I had been wishing to write a book. It was one of my dreams. Although I wasn't much interested in reading books, I was desperate to write one. I had friends who have been great followers of Tamil and English books. They inspired me into reading. I started out to read books but often felt tired after reading 20 pages. I was never able to complete books which had 200+ pages. And most often since the books published by authors there days span over 200 pages, I was often disinterested. I haad been a blogger for over 10 years and vested great intersts in writing. My primary interests were fictional stories and poetry. I had been long wishing to write a novel/book. Some how my wishes didn't materialize over the years. Finally this week I was able to publish 2 books this week. Both are short books spanning around 8-10 pages. They are free wo download from the below links. Please go through and let me know your comments. Thanks. https://www.smashwords.com/bo...

A tribute to Sachin Tendulkar

Is there any Cricket fan who doesn't like this man? The Whole of India believes and says, "If Cricket is our religion, Sachin is our God". If we look at his contribution towards the sport, it has been phenomenal. More than a player he stood in the sport's fans as a true player and legend. All of the cricketing nations respect him and we as Indians celebrate him. The Bharat Ratna of India. I started to watch Cricket since 1996 and the only reason to watch the game was him. His unique approach towards the sport, his style and his versatility dragged me on to the game. The very reason of liking the sport was his method of play, his behaviour on/off the field. He was a true gentleman to the game and he loved the sport with atmost passion. We as fans wanted him to score century in every single match and he definitely satisfied us with his glorious career scoring 100 100s in the Internationals. He was fearless and agile towards the opponents and ripped them apart ...
