When I was your Man !!

Image
Tonnes and Tonnes of love, I sprinkled When your mesmerising beauty twinkled With heart and soul, I loved Thought always about you, my beloved Our little meetings and chit-chats Turned our times cherished to memories The jokes we shared burned our fat We talked and talked a million stories Sometimes we took the long road and walked Quietly holding our hands locked In silence, we looked each other’s eyes Went in depth and explored the skies Occasionally we hummed few songs together Without worries, we danced like a free-flowing feather Went places and enjoyed nature Drenched in rain with no nomenclature As time passed, life took a turn And I was in a big need of money to earn Dejected from our relationship and moved on While you constantly tried to re-establish the connection, and stayed on I ignored you, serving you sleepless nights Kept you weeping all day with monstrous stress A greedy me engaged with you in silly fights Taki...

[90s ~ A Celebration] - Movies #India

90s was the time when Movies in South India flourished. We had Superstars like Kamal Haasan, Rajnikanth, Chiranjeevi, Mammooty and Mohan Lal rise to stardom by delivering Mega Hit films. The films were made in such a way that satisfied their fan following. Every movie they acted earned well at the box office and left unforgettable impressions in the minds of their fans. This coupled with good Music from Music Directors like Ilayaraja took the movie to greater heights. The songs were memorable and even today they are heard back to back on several FM Radio stations. The magic weaved by the songs were unthinkable. S P Balasubramaniyam and KJ Yesudas ruled the vocals. Lots of small budget films with family as the themes did well. Comedy was glorified and the films attained cult status. It was the time when Goundamani-Senthil duo reached maximum stardom and the beginning of the Vadivelu-Vivek era. The performances by these Comedians are even remembered and followed big even today. The Ac...

[90s ~ A Celebration] - TeleVision #India

Television is one of the most influential invention and perhaps the best electronic innovation. 90s were the period when TV became popular and available in India. It was the Black-White TVs during those days. Doordarshan was the only channel available. It was a National channel that was available for free and was accessed by a long Antenna that came with the TV. Before TVs, Radio ruled the villages and towns of the country. All India Radio and Ceylon Stations were the most listened. After the introduction of TVs, its prominence grew leaps and bounds. There were a lot of programmes that were aired by Doordarshan which even today stand the best. The TV serials/soaps aired during the 90s were the best in terms of IMDB rating that stand unbroken even today. Most of the serials of those days have over 8/10 rating. As a Kid, I have enjoyed some of the best TV serials that were ever produced. After few years of successful running of DD1, DD Metro and DD Podhigai were launched. Reli...

90s ~ A Celebration #India

For almost all of them in this world, the most joyous time that they had spent in their life would be their childhood days. Especially the early school days where we used to have lots of fun apart from rigorous studies which follows. Yet we never failed to miss the fun that we had with our friends. The best of friends came from those days and rest of the acquaintances that we had after that weren’t as powerful as the ones we had during our school. Our hearts were pure and was ready to offer any help without expecting anything in return. We were built by our friends, parents and teachers. So, the most important memories were during our early school days. Since I was born in the 80s I could fully absorb the vital things that came with the 90s. I was able to fully exploit and enjoy the 90s as far as possible. Till date I never felt at any instance that I had the most memorable moments at any point in time other than the 90s. I was studious as hell but that didn’t avoid me from enjoy...
