No to Racism

The long tiring seasons of domination With no freedom to express our thoughts Our endless fears on relentless starvation Deep down inside struck with blood clots The never-ending saga of Oppression Our family and kids dealt with humiliation When earning bread and butter became tedious The entire world that slaved us turned joyous For long we battled for equal rights Pleaded for acknowledgment and respect The feel of free air left far away from our sights Betrayed even by the Gods who ignored to protect Our stories and history written in blood With our men and women beaten for fun In our struggles alone we stood With our heads down, fearing for the gun Together we were in our mission Slowly the winds of rebel gained support Few good hearts understood our vision And bailed us from the ocean of dirt We work hard in driving the economy But still few see us as an enemy Before we think we have succeeded, we have miles to go To let th...

Never Give Up !!

For years, you have failed Trying to do the undone And you were never bailed Missing, the eternal throne With all the blood stains Driving your way, without help With a never-ending quest to gain Your thirst, alike a tireless gulp When the destiny was far You worked hard like a speeding car Your thoughts and ideas, suppressed and stifled Your poor soul ended up trifled While you worked round the clock Yet failed to reach the success dock All your efforts went in vain Misery after misery, damaged your brain Life wasn’t fair to you At times, you felt you were cursed Yet your hope stuck you like glue Despite your dreams dissolved When failures taught, you lesson You took them with a smile, galloping When you were dealt with treason You chose not to halt, but to keep moving With a never stop attitude Slowly you gained altitude Out of thin air, a ray of light beckoned Giving you a way in the path so darkened Those who a...

Losing Ourselves #India

Image
Mahatma Gandhi, once visualized that the biggest weapon to dethrone the British was to avoid trading with them and buying Indian made products. He felt that a Nation can be broken into pieces by adopting a strict trading methodology. Most of the freedom fighters believed in his vision and used products manufactured by Indians. That Philosophy stands even today with the US imposing strict trade curbs on countries like Iran, China, North Korea, and Russia. From imposing trading sanctions to letting increase in the Oil supplies, to destabilize few economies, the US has started to feel the necessity to utilize its own natural resources. The US still stands to be a major exporter with almost half of the world’s innovations coming from them. The roots are with them and it is their ideas that trigger the business and the global markets. They make use of the less labor costs in India and China and expand their business. Of late, the Europe has been a mere puppet with f...

Money Money !!

Money is the vital factor that drives our lives. In fact, we have started to believe that the search and fulfillment of life depends solely on the accumulation of wealth. Although Yogic and Religious Gurus spread the need of Inner Engineering, Health and getting to know the divine power, we have always ignored them and felt that Money as the only element to seek and have it as our destiny. Since it gives all the worldly powers of life, we have lost ourselves in it. We run behind it like animals. Our milestones and targets are about getting enough of it. Since it speaks volumes in our daily life, we have become a product/slave of it. We spend almost half our day at work and it directly involves in doing business. Thus, it has become the integral part of our life and we spend our time in accumulating it. Let us look at this in a witty way about how the economy drives us. How we are manipulated and how we lose/gain money. The EURO is getting weaker and the European society is on th...

Learning from other countries

The USA has been a pioneer in Science and Technology over the last 4-5 centuries. Almost all innovations and discoveries have come from them. Their contributions are so immense that are referred and followed globally. Lots of Scientific discoveries have come from them. Even today, lots of IT software innovations and new products are developed by them for use in business. They solely have been able to drive the world forward. Although India has several cultural references of being a pioneer in Science, we have not been able to take any innovative steps in this sector. The Education system in India has improved yet we still lag other countries. Many of Indian workers of today are outsourced to the USA and they seem to perform well but they are merely users of others’ creations. We are not able to drive Science, Technology, Space, Medical, Defence sectors which enjoy major budget globally. The USA has stormed IT business and has been developing new and innovative products at large for ...

How India can move to becoming a Rich Nation

For any country to be under the tag of a developed nation there are lots of parameters that are required to be satisfied. The parameters include - infrastructure, Healthcare, ease of doing business, employment, investor friendly environment, less Tax, Good Education, Productivity, Advancements in Science and Technology, Automation, Innovation, Raising wage margins of the poor, Less imports etc. India as a country with over 1.4 billion people has its own challenges to become a developing nation – let alone have the dream of becoming a developed one. A lot of politicians believed in making the country an economic super power by 2020 but now have been retaliating and moving the goal to 2050. There are a very few things that we as countrymen can make in making the country better. Fiscal deficit is the key term for any country which defines the way a country is progressing and more often for a developing country like India, the expenditures are more than the income. The Governments tr...

The Survivors

There are a several living things that evolved over time. Several of them had survived until today while a lot of them vanished due to being unadaptable. It is not the dominators who had survived the test of times but the ordinary living things that were flexible to the environment. A lot of animals that existed millions of years ago don’t exist anymore. While a few species have thrived over times. In a similar way, the dominators of a particular technology and work don’t prevail for a longer duration but the people who are flexible with tools and techniques sustain over a long period of time. It is the survivors who rebuild themselves according to the different infrastructure and surroundings and take the world forward. Technical brilliance is necessary, but the primitive fact is the understanding of the basics. How well we understand our platform – how comfortably placed we are in that – how well we predict the future trends – decide on our fate and our existence. We have to be...

Forever Young

In this fast moving world, no one has time for others. People are not even concerned about others’ issues. They are selfish and focus only on the benefits that they need. Due to the advancement in technology, although the world has shrunk and brought people closer, it hasn’t been fully utilized that way. The more people have been brought closer the more they are separated far apart. We don’t even care to know who sits next to us in office. This has become a virtual world. The No-Care attitude has cropped up in us. We have even got to the stage of ignoring our good friends. We don’t have time to participate in our friends’ events. We don’t have time to answer their texts and calls. We have come up with a firewall against the closer world and reduced our communications and relationships. Sympathy, Care, Love, Friendship – these became the qualities of the past. We are only focused on generating income and build our future on that. Thus man, using all of his senses has started to become...

The Wind will carry us

Few believe that we are responsible for every events and actions. We bear the sole responsibility of our success/failure. It is because we drive the actions towards our goal. No one else is held accountable for our loss. Everything is being executed by our plans and the way we travel. Our life is in our hands. Everything happens for a reason and so on. Few others believe that destiny is the one that is responsible for carrying us in a specific direction. Everything is being written by God and he has a perfect screenplay already written for each of us and we are mere dolls who move towards the destination that he has set. Everything – every event that occurs is pre-planned. We are mere actors who execute the written things. One flavor is science while the other is attributed to religion. However, we can’t deny both. With these facts in mind, while we track our life and life’s various events – we also tend to notice that there are several people whom we meet – several events that h...

Have we lost our Identity?

India - For years we had been a nation enriched with best culture, traditions and lifestyle. The way our people lived were like an example to many other nations. Rich in language, religion and art we were the dominating ones and perhaps the old ones around the world. Our civilization was the best and well-studied/researched by several scholars. Although divided by caste, religion and language, we were exhibiting unity in our relationships. A flurry of cultures thronged this part of the world for long and survived the test of times. We worshiped God – Nature as well. We lived the way Vedas taught us to live. The Kings ruled as per the customs that were established and written by Vedic Gurus. Each and every man lived the way according to his duties that were planned. Everyone followed the Dharma and complemented each other. We were great predictors of the future through astrology and great scholars of the functioning and effects of the solar system’s objects movements. We were the firs...

Top 10 Current Businesses in India

With stock markets at record high and Inflation still being a pain - basic commodities being sold at a higher rate - oil prices increasing, leading to unsettling petrol/diesel prices - introduction of GST - common man finding difficult to meet his monthly budget - this place for sure isn't a better one for many. The Govt. is to be blamed for many of the above effects. The promise of bringing black money into India is still open. No improvements have been seen in infrastructure development. Common man had been facing severe blows due to policy changes. Due to introduction of FDI in Retail/Insurance and other sectors have helped Foreign companies increase its footprint in the nation but small and medium scale Indian companies have been hit hard. The roadside sellers are at large affected due to changing schemes. To a great extent this Govt. has been anti-people though the intention is to make a better country. The Govt. wants to regularize and standardize things but at the cost of ...

IT jobs ~ Over the years #DWBI

2006 - The year of IT that saw great spending and investment in the sector enabling creation of thousands of jobs in India. Particularly US did great investment with Banking and Finance and Healthcare being the driving domains where Business flourished globally. Me being in the Data warehousing and Business Intelligence horizontal was a true gift considering the velocity with which the sector was growing. Huge demand was there for Business Intelligence, Developers and Testers alike were hired in batches. Doing an Engg. In Electronics and Communication and IT were truly favorable at those times. India was growing with great pace especially in the IT sector. The INR too was weak and the Dollar up enabling massive profits for IT giants. 2008 – The Lehman Brothers collapse leading to the entire reshuffle and reorganization of the leading Banks in the world. Almost all the sectors drove southwards due to this big fall of the Banks. Thousands lost their jobs but considering this as a o...

Digital India

The time has come for us to move towards digitalization with the new technologies in place and its efficiency has increased over the years. The Indian Gov has been taking enormous step, like never before, to ensure a digital world to be embraced by the mammoth population the country holds. Linking of Aadhar to mobile connections, PAN and bank account have been a huge step towards maintaining integrity. While these steps by the Govt has to be appreciated, still the prospect of imposing them on the people and asking them to adhere to it in a short span of time, is relentful. People have to be made aware of it, they must be educated towards the need of it and with their understanding this policy must be put to practice and adequate time has to be given towards its completion. Usage of Plastic cards instead of money is welcomed by the Govt. but it is not enough to encourage users. Still there are millions of uneducated people who don't know to use mobile phones, leave alone using...

IT - 2017

Ever since Donald Trump got elected as US president, there has been sudden downtrend seen in the IT sector as far as India is concerned. The IT recruitment for laterals has seen a huge drop. New opportunities are not seen and new projects are not coming up. New investments are not happening. Existing projects are getting decommissioned. Ever since we saw the 2008 recession, 2017 has been a much more impacted one but not publicized. Clients are expecting to cut down costs and are requiring lots of value added services for the costs incurred. Non performers are getting ousted. Freshers are expected to replace laterals and even lateral hires are paid less. The hike that the industry expects while lateral hiring is not happening. Even for those who have been continuing with the same organization is seeing less hike per year. The industry's future looks gloomy as most of the college students are skipping Engg. and seeking other studies. Onsite opportunities are getting less and people...

Science - And its evolution

Mankind has evolved a lot since its inception and most of it is attributed towards the development in Science. Especially since the last 2 centuries science has grown leaps and bounds. Almost all sectors including business, medicine, technology, space, biology, mechanics has seen a rapid growth. It is truly massive to think how these got evolved in a short span of time. Thanks must go to all the scientists and inventors out there who did all R&D for us, for the better life of humanity. We have tried to map all the occurrences in the world, every creation with respect to science. We have started to relate all the events that happen with science. We have started to believe that everything has a cause-effect principle. To a certain extent, we have outgrown and even started to predict the future. Predicting the future was more inclined towards the job of the astrologers who were religious minded, but these days we have automated them as well into scientific aspects. We have b...

A Common Man's Expectation from the Govt

What do we usually expect from the central Govt as a citizen of this country? We all know that it has been over 60 years since we got independence and we all feel that we didn't grow to the extent which we thought of. There can be numerous accusations on various leaders politically and financially as to why we failed to achieve that but let us forget all that and look into the current situation and how we can grow from here. We all have a stable and strong leader now in the form of Mr. Modi. As a common man what are the things we expect from him., Agriculture. This has been the primary breath of our nation. But this has been sidelined over the years. the exports have gone down and manufacturing has been hit by flood and drought. Rain water savings has been missed out and the prices eatables have gone sky high. Farmers are committing suicide since they doesn't get relief. The Hon'ble Prime Minister has to order his office to look into this issue and make agriculture ...

Stock Market Mantra

Let us see some of the basic understanding before investing in mutual funds and stock markets. If the Indian Rupee's valuation goes down (say 80 Rs for 1 Dollar)., the global investment into India's stock market will go down and the NSE will fall (say to 5000). When the Indian Rupee goes down and US $ strenghtens, we must wait till the NSE bottoms out and then start to buy the stocks (good quality large cap stocks). While the Rupee goes down you must refrain from investing and after it hits the rock bottom and starts to strenghten you must buy NSE. If the US $ is strong, you can buy IT stocks. If the US $ weakens, the global stock markets will fall and this may not be a good time to invest in stocks. You must wait until you see good upward trend in the US $ which is dependent on the US jobs/manufacturing data. If the US $ weakens, you can invest in GOLD. If the Inflation in India is high, the banks will reconsider the interest rates and the banks will be force...
